Relume Foundation Projects
Relume Foundation is at the forefront of serving and educating communities with vital healthcare information, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. Under the guidance of Dr. Sunday Adeosun, Chairman, Professor Sherri Adeosun, Director and Dr. Cheryl Croney, Medical Director, Relume brings hope and help to many densely populated areas of New York City and in Yobe State, Nigeria.
Relume Charitable Foundation, Yobe State is currently implementing a response to the emergency needs of IDPs and host communities in Fune and Gujba LGAs in Yobe. Ngelshengele in Fune local government is the location benefiting from the state-of-the-art health care facility that is under construction. The project is being sponsored by the Shell Petroleum and Development Company (SPDC) of Nigeria and Joint Ventures.
This project which started with a consultation with relevant stakeholders in the government and the host communities have already achieved key milestones since it started. The objective of the health program in Fune and Gujba is to improve IDPs and host communities’ well-being through sustainable access to safe health care delivery.
Construction of Primary Health Center in Yobe State: The first stage of this construction project has been completed. The construction of the Primary Healthcare Center in Ngeleshengele started on February 14, 2022. The project, which is being handled by Jumolu Ventures Limited, will be completed in 14 weeks as provided in the project timeline submitted by the contractor engineer, Olumide Akinboade. This started with the preparation of the site for construction, followed by the purchase of construction materials to be used and then the building of sub-structures for the PHCC building.
