Residents lined up on Mott Ave. to get their free at-home test kits from Relume.
Members of the Relume Foundation were out and about in Far Rockaway earlier this week, handing out five hundred COVID-19 testing kits to local residents.
The Relume Foundation was established in 2014 with the intention of catering to the needs of the less fortunate in Africa, the United States, and around the world. This Åugust, they opened their first brick and mortar office right here on the peninsula, but they’ve been operating in our area since their very beginning.
“We have been supporting the community before the pandemic through SAT tutoring at various locations in Queens and organizing webinars on different health and social issues concerning our community,” explained Prof. Sheri Adeosun, the Foundation’s President. “Our mission is to be the conduit that connects the people that have to those that do not.”
